The original 100% natural mediterranean pearl couscous is perfect with vegetables, meat, chicken and fish or as a delicious mediterranean salad.
Bring a large pot of salted water or stock to the boil, add 275g of couscous (approx. One and a half cups), simmer for 7-8 minutes or until cooked, stirring occasionally, drain and stir through a drizzle of oil and season to taste. Serves 4 as an accompaniment to a main meal.
Try these delicious recipes – ‘lemon and herb couscous’ – cook couscous and add a handful of fresh herbs (mint, coriander or parsley), 1/2 cup toasted pine nuts and a zest of lemon. Drizzle with oil and season to taste then serve. Or, ‘israeli couscous with tuscan sausage’ – skin 3 or 4 tuscan sausages or similar, lightly fry for 5 minutes breaking them up as you stir, add to cooked couscous with 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese, chopped parsley and 2 tablespoons of lemon oil and serve.
