While the cheese did melt (yay!) it had a very rubbery texture and was pretty flavourless. I haven’t ever tried a vegan cheese before but it didn’t stack up compared to traditional Edam cheese. While I’m all for moving towards more plant-based foods, I wouldn’t consider switching to this cheese over dairy.

While it tasted good we have no benefit from buying it again as we are not a vegan/dairy free family. However, I will recommend it to friends that are vegan or have dairy allergies

WHile i wouldnt buy this as nothing is quite like cheese, my sister is lactose free and thought this was great and will recommend it to others.

Welove our cheese in our family, this block was used grated on the top of lasagne. It was actually ok when it was cooked, not a bad subsitute for real cheese, but I couldnt’ eat it plain, the aftertaste was not pleasant. I think it’s a great alternative for vegan’s or those who are lactose intolerant though.
