Tom mcdonald (1907-1987) devoted his lifetime to producing outstanding new zealand wines at the site of the current church road winery. Celebrating tom’s vision and entrepreneurial spirit, church road mcdonald series wines are complex, textural and full of character. Our church road mcdonald series sauvignon blanc aims to be a more complex expression of the hawke’s bay style, without relying heavily on the influence of oak to achieve this. Expect a wine that still exhibits the freshness of sauvignon blanc, but also builds in interest with mineral flint and savoury nuances.
