I think the reason behind the sweetness was the type and perhaps amount of honey used in making. Easy to make, my 5 year old son enjoyed making them

I tend to make our own balls- a family of 6 goes they a lot of baking. A good idea if you just want a few and you need something quick or if you don’t have a well stocked pantry

I prefer to either make my own balls from scratch or to buy them fully premade. I’m unlikely to pay for ingredients in a box to roll myself as it’s not convenient and would rather just purchase premade balls. Its possible that these could be marketed for kids and parents as a healthy lunchbox option
