Emersons Craft Beer London Porter

After experiencing the quality and variety of beer overseas, emerson’s was launched in 1992 with the creation of london porter at 4 grange st in dunedin by richard emerson, a brewer dedicated to creating a creating a craft beer with style, aroma, flavour and finish with their own distinctive balance and memorability.

The aroma is toasty, with a hint of sweetness and some earthy hop notes. Firm-bodied but not heavy, with a creamy texture, the dryish palate is full of roasted malt, coffeeish notes and a sustained bitterness.

Caramelised meat flavours, chocolate and smoke are great at marrying the porter with the dish.
