Inspired by artisan sourdough bread, Freya’s German Sourdough is made with a sourdough starter from the North Rhine region of Germany. This gives the bread a delicious tangy flavour, with the soft texture of Freya’s that you love. Lecker!
Better toasted than as a sandwich. Had toasted with eggs and haggis and was fab. Also as a toasted sandwich was a winner. Would possibly buy again if on special

Texture and flavour of this bread was very good. The zingy sourdough flavour was especially enjoyed by my family in toasted sandwiches. Has become a firm family favourite.
First time I tried sourdough bread at home instead of part of a cafe meal so wasn’t sure what to expect but was nicely surprised with how soft it was & mild flavour. Just as good fresh or toasted, sometimes all I added was butter 🙂

Great as toast, not so good for sandwiches. But, it made great chip butties with tomato sauce,

Definitely a toast bread, light, liked it hot with butter, we weren’t that wrapped, wouldn’t buy it again. Not suitable for sandwiches in our household.

We all really liked it as toast. Less keen as fresh bread.

The best bread!!! We used for sandwiches, toast and topped with salmon and avocado. I will be buying this again.

Absolutey delicious. Not to heavy but full off flavour. Keeps well and good fresh and toasted.

Mixed opinion from our whanau. Partner liked it, i wasn’t a huge fan. But ate it anyway. Preferred it as toast to bread.
