Lemnos haloumi can be pan fried, barbecued, grilled or baked. Haloumi is an ideal ingredient in many mediterranean dishes, or served on its own with a squeeze of lemon.

Sometimes I question how it’s able to be sold as halloumi. It tastes increasingly dry which makes the saltiness incredibly unpleasant. I would opt for literally any other brand or just not have halloumi.

Lemnos halloumi is the worst halloumi I ever tried over the last 40 years. It is very soft and I can’t take it out of the tub. I bought 2kg tub last week from a local shop in Brisbane and it doesn’t even have the same texture as Cyprus halloumi cheese which has “zig zag” sound under your teeth when you eat it. Lemnos halloumi cheese is a typical soft feta cheese and company should rename it to feta!!!
