Just had your Steak & Cheese Pie. My opinion. Without doubt the worst pie I have ever had. No flavour to the cheese, which was just a runny sludge. As for the steak, a couple of pea sized pieces of what seemed to be gristle. Even the pastry was a disappointment.
The packaging stated Grass Fed Beef. I don’t really see the point to that statement unless you think that maybe some people think you feed the cattle on egg and chips… You need to review your quality control, the ingredients you use and most certainly your packaging blurb. The one star is because I wasn’t given the option of choosing no stars.

I am always dubious about buying a re packaged pie….my husband bought two….we had the steak and mushroom tonight….I am a good cook but I could not have made it better myself. A really light pastry crust and loads of delicious filling. This is the first time i have written a review and I have because it was so damn good

Anything with the name MacKenzie in it has to be a winner. These pies are absolutely adorable and if I could I’d eat one a day. Flavoursome, pastry is just that right blend of eingsoft and taste yet not crumbling in your hands. Add a little tomato sauce if you fancy and tuck in 🙂

Surely when a product is labeled Steak and Mushroom Pie it would suggest the pie would consist of as quoted ” sliced prime beef and mushroom” ity would actually contain such items not minced beef with a piece of mushroom which measured approximately 3mm x 1mm in size.
This was more than disappointing to say the least and completely non descriptive in flavor.
Maybe this product should be re labelled as “minced beef with a hit of mushroom”
Never again will I be sucked into purchasing any McKenzie pie
