With the piquant peppery taste of native Horopito and grass-fed NZ Beef, this slow-cooked Ragu is best accompanied by any type of pasta, like pappardelle, or fettuccine. Heat and serve with plenty of freshly grated Parmesan cheese and fresh Italian Parsley leaves.
Alternatively, serve with fresh steamed broccolini, wilted spinach, creamy mashed potato, or even spooned on a hot baked potato with a dollop of sour cream to finish.

Great flavour and goes a long way in a big bowl of pasta.

Michelle–
Convenient and tasty dinner. Had it on kumara/potato mash with peas
+ PROS: Convenient and tasty
- CONS:It was a little on the small side for 2 people but was good with enough extras added

I loved this! I will definitely be buying instead of takeaways for a quick meal, I just served with mashed potato and it was rich and full of flavour – perfect for 2 people.
Nice but the packs are too small to feed a family of 4 – 6. Would need to buy about 4 packs to feed everyone. Would be cheaper and nicer to make a stew in the slow cooker of buy a leg of lamb for a roast.
+ PROS: Nice for a single person.
- CONS:Too small and too expensive

Really enjoyed the flavour and texture, serving size of 2 per packet is too small for an adult I feel

Fairly tasty but had big lumps of fat in it which turned me off completely. Did not finish the product.

Nicola White–
Convenient and tasty, quick to prepare.
Was enough for two but I added noodles and mixed vegetables to make sure.
+ PROS: Easy to prepare and was quick.
Probably a good size for 1 as a meal by itself.
- CONS:Difficult to get it all out of the packet.
Surprised packet wasn't noted for soft packaging - at a #7 recycling it was rubbish in our area.
Jo Simons –
Tastier than most heat and eat meals, good with pasta, but still a bit blander than I like, especially for something branded as “peppery”
Lindsay –
Taste was ok but meat a little dry and chewy.
Katrina –
Quite tasty – smallest serving but packed full of flavour
Wasn’t too peppery
Value was ok as under $10
I could imagine this in a pie
