It’s a sustainable alternative to petroleum derived plastic that reduces the demand for fossil fuel based plastics. Sugarcane naturally absorbs carbon dioxide from the air while growing and produces oxygen thereby reducing the carbon footprint on the product.

Love that its environmentally friendly, but not very practical to use. Didn’t come off the roll easily, didn’t cut very well and didn’t keep its shape like better know alternatives do

It might be marginally better for the environment but it is still single use cling wrap and still more than 50% not plant (presumably oil based plastic). We try to avoid using cling wrap as much as possible so very rarely need to buy a new roll (our current roll is over 10 years old I think).
