Nederburg Merlot

The winemasters ensemble by nederburg, comprising a top-quality range of varietal offerings, is named to honour the south african winery’s long-established tradition of winemaking excellence. These classically styled, food-friendly wines with abundant fruit flavours, elegance and finesse, treasure the integrity of the grapes in every step of the wine-growing and winemaking journey.

The merlot grapes were sourced from vineyards in and around the western cape.the fruit was crushed and fermented on the skins and upon completion of malolactic fermentation, the wine was matured in contact with french oak for a period of 12 months.

A well-rounded, plush and plummy red wine with aromas of strawberries, blackcurrants and subtle vanilla oak. Attractive up-front fruit flavours with elegant oaky nuances and a soft, silky texture.

Delicious with oxtail, roasts, casseroles and game.
