The winemasters ensemble by nederburg, comprising a top-quality range of varietal offerings, is named to honour the south african winery’s long-established tradition of winemaking excellence. These classically styled, food-friendly wines with abundant fruit flavours, elegance and finesse, treasure the integrity of the grapes in every step of the wine-growing and winemaking journey.
The grapes were harvested by hand and machine and the fruit was crushed and fermented on the skins in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for two weeks. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was matured in french oak for 10 months.
A rich and full-bodied red wine with ripe berry fruit, cherry and delicate oak spice flavours, velvety tannins and a lingering aftertaste.
Delicious with roast lamb, red meat such as beef and venison, red meat casseroles, poultry and game bird dishes as well as beef burgers.
