I was really looking forward to trying this product after seeing it advertised then discovering it in my Black Box. The whole family tried and unanimously agreed it lacked the chilli flavour completely. What a disappointment. There was no subtle flavours either which was noted on the packaging. We tried it as a sandwich, then toasted with cheese then just buttered with soup in the hope the less is more approach would help us taste the flavour combinations. If they say chilli then have it noticeable. We don’t like overly spicy food so it’s not like we are over sensitized to the chilli flavour but a wee kick would have been fantastic and could have been soo good!

I thought this bread was delicious however my fussy children didn’t like the chilli. I think the concept of bread with a slightly spicy flavour (which I didn’t even notice) was just too out there for them.

I think this would be a great bread to have in the freezer to eat occasionally only, as it’s so flavoursome and I’m sure it would be so delish with soup!

I really love this bread! It is my new favourite! The little bit of spice just makes everything taste better no matter how it is used – fresh, toasted… YUM YUM YUM
