Wattie’s Chickpeas in Spring Water are a great meat alternative as they are a natural source of protein and are low in fat. With their unique nutty flavour and creamy texture they are so versatile- add them to salads, soups and stews or use them to make hummus and falafel.

Such good macronutrient profile and can be used in SO MANY WAYS! A perfect little snack or accompaniment, or even better… I’ve found a ton of free online recipes using Chickpeas as a healthy, low calorie, high fibre, high profile base for yummy treats like cookies etc. Watties is a trusted brand, with no nasties. These keep forever (almost) and are completely underrated!
+ PROS: Watties is better priced than Organic varieties such as Edgell. Trusted brand. Even have the easy open can tab on the top.
- CONS:No cons!
