Wattie’s Chickpeas in Spring Water are a great meat alternative as they are a natural source of protein and are low in fat. With their unique nutty flavour and creamy texture they are so versatile- add them to salads, soups and stews or use them to make hummus and falafel.

My son bought these and immediately I wondered if the spring water would affect the aqua faba. Upon opening the can my prediction was correct: watery juice thus ruining the aqua faba. Disappointed. The chick peas themselves were nice though.

Way more grainy and tough when cooked than other chickpeas, I always find them inedible
